ArroyoFest

Photos by Tony Lin

On Sunday, June 15, 2003 people from across Southern California came together to bike and walk ON the Historic Arroyo Seco Parkway (known to most as the Pasadena Freeway) to show their support for:

  • Stronger neighborhoods
  • Cleaner water and air
  • More parks and open space
  • Better transportation
  • Greater appreciation of history

For all of us who attended, it was a truly magical day. The positive feedback has been overwhelming. Read the latest update about this history-making event that has pointed the way toward more livable future for all Southern California.

Great new photos in the galleries from Brian Biery and David Boin!

It took almost 2 years for community organizations involved to raise the majority of the funds for ArroyoFest. ArroyoFest made an intentional effort to keep fees low so that everyone would be able to participate. As the event drew near, however, ArroyoFest had to take out loans and event organizers used their personal credit cards to cover $30,000 in remaining costs.

Help keep the connections alive! Join the post-ArroyoFest fundraising drive!!
