  • Debs Park (9:00 am - 12:00 noon) Meet on Griffin Avenue at the pedestrian overpass
  • Sycamore Grove Park (9:30 am - 11:00 a.m.) Meet at the end of South Avenue 49

Introductory Archery Lessons - with the Pasadena Roving Archers

Pasadena Roving Archers provides free introductory archery classes on Saturday mornings to Pasadena area residents. All equipment and instruction are provided free of charge. We welcome participants age 10 and up.  

The range is located in Lower Arroyo Park off of Arroyo Blvd. In Pasadena north of California Blvd. Park in the parking lot just past the casting pond. Cross the bridge and you will see the archery practice area to your left.

Hermon Centennial Celebration

LA Recreation & Parks/Hermon Neighborhood Association present the celebration of the centennial of the small historic community of Hermon, quaintly nestled in the eastern canyons of the Arroyo Seco. 
Come for our birthday party…pony rides, vintage trailers, games, live bands, BBQ, the official re-naming of our park to Hermon Park in the Arroyo Seco.
After sunset, watch a movie on a big screen between the sycamores while enjoying popcorn under the stars. 

From the 110, exit Via Marisol, turn right to Arroyo Seco Park. Turn left into the park and drive past tennis courts to the celebration.

Wild in the City Family Nature Wal

Join a naturalist from the Audubon Center at Debs Park for a family nature walk on the Wildside. We will get acquainted with Debs Park and find out more about he wild animals and plants that live in the Arroyo Seco Urban Wilderness. Tours will depart from the Entrance Freeway Overpass to Debs Park.

We are holding an annual solstice event with workshops and activities for children and families that will initiate connections between healthy families, healthy land, and a healthy community, including an educational scavenger hunt, an indigenous solstice blessing and procession and opportunities for community interaction and exchange.

Down by the River Walk: Seek the Arroyo Seco

Walk Pasadena’s restoration project.  The walk is casual and non-strenuous and open to all ages.  The walk will feature a brief speaker on natural, historical, artistic and political aspects of the Arroyo Seco.

Meet at Lower Arroyo Seco Nature Park parking lot.  Enter going west off Arroyo Blvd. Near Norwood Drive in Pasadena. 

FoLAR’s monthly walks are on the 3rd Sunday of each month.  The location varies.  Walks are casual, non-strenuous, open to all ages.  Walks are canceled if raining.

  • MTA Safety presentation, Model train display & viewing of "Next Stop Pasadena - From Red to Gold", presented with the MT
  • the exhibit features models, photos, memorabilia related to the MTA/Gold Line, Pacific Electric & Santa Fe.
